The Burlingame community is composed of families and individuals of all ages and from all walks of life -- families that gather each year, year-round residents, and just good folks. Its' members are best described as social, active, fully engaged, and always ready to welcome new residents and old friends.
The area enjoys four seasons of color– from the beauty of fragrant springtime laurels and rhododendrons to the lush greens of summer. In the fall Mother Nature repaints our mountains in a vast display of vibrant colors; ocher, orange, red, yellow and rust. Winter at Burlingame arrives with crisp mornings and sun-filled afternoons, opening up fresh vistas while the dense landscape hibernates.
During the peak summer months in the higher elevations, the average temperatures are a welcoming 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Asheville, Greenville, Charlotte and Atlanta.
